In a bid to ensure the academic year proceeds smoothly, the Ministry of Education announced plans to compensate for the school days lost due to the 2024 parliamentary elections.

Students will make up for the days off on Sept. 9 and 11 by attending school on the Saturdays of Sept. 21 and 28.

The ministry emphasized that attendance on these compensatory days is mandatory, and no excuses for absence will be accepted. Attendance policies will be strictly enforced.

Previously, the Ministry of Education suspended operations in all public schools on Monday and Wednesday, September 9 and 11, which fall before and after the parliamentary election day on September 10.
